In 2011 I vow to say YES to any opportunity that will promote growth, learning and love!
Things to do in 2011
- Find an apartment west of Lincoln, north of Pier Ave., south of Montana, and East of the ocean
- Write in my journal regularly (at least once a week)
- Teach Aiden some drum beats and the alphabet
- Take one solo trip
- Take > one oversea trip
- Lower my tax bracket
- Eat more green, less brown, tan and creme foods
- Visit Mama and Dada more often
- Go to yoga over three times a week
- Learn to love wholeheartedly

December 2009
Miraculously survived a roll-over car accident on the 15 freeway north. My sister and I were in the back seat, sharing ear pods listening to Michael Buble’s “Crazy” when the surreal experience occurred. Our SUV flipped multiple times and rolled down embankment in the pouring rain. Tow truck driver reported having to add an extension to the 150 foot cable to pull out the Envoy.
January 2010
Business as usual. Grateful for life. Mom appears tired and has a back ache that doesn’t relent.
February 2010
Working at the flower store for Valentines day. Though not as busy as years past due to recession, we still work hard. Mom is tired and a week later goes to the emergency room where she is diagnosed with stage 3 Multiple Myeloma. My life is turned upside down.
March -April 2010
Tommy Austin’s Florist is sold. Cancelled Spain trip. I can barely walk in the store without envisioning 15 years of life there. I gather our personal belongings which are co-mingled with the store’s backroom merchandise and things. Mom is in and out of the hospital.
May -June 2010
Hawaii with the law school kids for Tara-Dactyl’s wedding on Oahu. A short respite, I remember the good old days. As usual, Jana is an extrodinary host and we hit up all of the classic spots.
August 2010
Kauai with my high school friends for Rhonda’s wedding on Kauai. It is an interesting experience.
September 2010
30th Birthday party at El Cid in Silverlake. Loved ones come celebrate and watch Flamenco dancing. I head to Paris the next day for crepes, crepes and a beautiful mass at Notre Dame.
November 2010
Second Chaired my first trial. Learned I can keep my poker face under the most shocking of circumstances.
October 2010
909 friends dress up as KISS for Halloween. Once again voted best group costume at the annual party.
December 2010
Christmas with my family. Many things happened this last year, but the family is still intact and Aiden is as cute as ever.
